    The True Story
    (the accident of Aileens death)
found out by players or revealed when innocent is burnt

The herbalist keeps a collection of rare herbs— deadly night flower. This plant has medical value, but if the dosage is slightly off, its toxic emerges. She carefully stores all her herbs. However, the Merchant covets both her herbs and the brewer’s recipes, and plans to spread rumors about them, so that he could take over the industry.

The merchant pretends to buy herbs from the herbalist, claiming he is ill, but secretly steals the deadly night flower. He intends to cause chaos by mixing it into the brewer’s liquor, though he doesn’t realize that an overdose of Nightroot can be fatal.

Sneaking into the brewer’s storage at night, he adds the toxic herb to several barrels so villagers would believe the brewer deliberately tainted her own brew and panic would spread.

The brewer prepares medicinal pain-relief wine using the usual recipe, unaware that the deadly night flower has already been mixed into her barrels. The wine eventually reaches to Aileen.

At a gathering, both the blacksmith’s wife and Aileen drink the brew; the blacksmith’s wife experiences only mild diarrhea.

A few hours later, Aileen becomes dizzy, short of breath, and disoriented before collapsing. The villagers panic, and word spreads quickly, fueling fear.

The merchant seizes the moment, spreading rumors that the brewer and herbalist had deliberately poisoned the wine and were plotting against the village.

The villagers are terrified, accused the two women, some even calling for them to be burned at the stake.

In reality , what caused Aileen’s death is a severe allergy to the deadly night flower, and a double dosage of it.
